Yeah! Bring it on 2025! Recently, I had the opportunity to spend a week in the heart of Nashville, soaking in the energy of Music City and witnessing something truly special. My journey began with meeting Anna, a powerhouse country-blues-rock singer who isn’t quite like anyone else in the genre. Though some might call her a country artist, her voice—and her presence—are best described as bluesy rock with a twist of soul, which, if you ask me, is exactly the kind of unique fusion that makes Nashville’s music scene so special.
Anna and I spent the week in the studio, and every day was an adventure. From Monday to Friday, we worked in Canyon Private Recording Studios, surrounded by world-class songwriters and the renowned producer Don Miggs. As we dug into the creative process, I had the chance to see Anna’s vision come to life through the collaboration of incredible talent. The songs she created during that week were not just music; they were pure magic in the making.
But it wasn’t just the music that made this trip unforgettable—it was the experience of being part of Anna’s creative world. Mornings started with us grabbing coffee and chatting about life before heading to the studio, where the magic would unfold. There were moments of getting lost on the highways of Nashville (thanks, GPS!), which only made the adventure even more real and raw.
One of the highlights of this week for me was the opportunity to photograph Anna in her element. We did two photo shoots, one in the studio and one on the streets of Nashville. Both sessions captured the essence of her style and persona—fierce, unapologetic, and undeniably talented. The images we created together reflect not just her look, but the energy she brings to everything she does.

What I’ll cherish most from this trip, though, was the experience of watching Anna do what she does best: create magic in the studio. It’s not every day you get to witness a singer pour their heart and soul into their craft, but that’s exactly what Anna did. Seeing her in the booth, completely immersed in the moment, was inspiring beyond words.
Don Miggs is a multifaceted artist whose career spans various facets of the music industry. As the frontman of the pop/rock band MIGGS, he has toured extensively with notable acts such as Maroon 5, Stone Temple Pilots, and Velvet Revolver’s Scott Weiland. Beyond performing, Don is a skilled songwriter and producer, having collaborated with both established and emerging artists. He owns world-class recording studios in Bel Air, California, and Nashville, Tennessee, under the name Canyon Private Studios. Additionally, Don is a published author and hosts “The Miggs & Swig Show” on iHeartRadio, where he discusses a wide range of topics from music to personal anecdotes.
Throughout our time together, I was struck by Don’s genuine passion for music and his unwavering commitment to his craft. His insights into the creative process and his dedication to nurturing talent left a lasting impression on me. Witnessing Anna’s collaboration with Don and the magic they created in the studio was truly inspiring.
Reflecting on this experience, I am reminded of the profound impact that collaboration and mentorship can have on an artist’s journey. The opportunity to work alongside such accomplished individuals has reinforced my belief in the power of community and shared creativity within the music industry.
The entire trip was a whirlwind of creativity, collaboration, and true artistry. Nashville has a way of drawing out the best in people, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Anna. Her talent, energy, and heart will take her far, and I’m honored to have been part of her journey, even if just for a short time.
Here’s to more coffee, more lost highways, and, of course, more music magic.
